Those who make their home on the edge of forests know that strange things dwell within the shady depths. Everyone will tell you about that one time they caught a glimpse of something between the tree trunks. Was it a man? An elk? Something... other?
On certain days of the year, you can see night lights shining from the oldest grove in the forest's center. Torches? Wisps, gloams, ghosts? Yes. It is all of these. At the crest of each season, forestwalkers assemble in their hallowed glades. Rites and rituals are performed. Contracts are sealed. Secrets shared.
In the distant past, long before our current era of iron and steel, of crosses and castles... Gods walked the earth. The entire forest was a holy place, a church for those who worshiped the seasons.
Nature revealed its secrets to those who asked. The intricate dance of the stars above our heads. The old medicine - extracts of root and bark, berry and seed, the location of healing springwaters that could never be tainted. All was known, and all who followed the priests of the forest lived in harmony.
When the new gospel spread across Calradia, practicioners of the old ways were branded as heretics. Falsehoods framed the priests of The Grove as demonic death-judges who sacrificed their faithful into the hungry maws of demons.
Any blasphemous act imaginable was tacked onto the list until every pagan had been slain or silenced. Forests upon the ley lines were cleared. Roadside shrines were toppled and looted. Holy glades grew quiet and fallow. Man had forgotten his Gods, and so they disappeared. The secrets of the stars and the old medicine were forgotten.
In recent years, several underground cults have been discovered by witch-hunters practicing the old ways. Toppled wayshrines have been reassembled along quiet backroads. New strat got me to finally get off my ass and attempt to make my own faction. Item theme somewhere between “merry forest bandits” and “druidic cult” – working on specifics right now. Goal will be to hold a couple fiefs that are in or on the edge of a forest, and upgrade some gear that isn’t your average cookie cutter stuff that everyone used in strat 4.
The ladder clan will start of ALL of my looms in it, to encourage recruits. I will be looking around for a teamspeak arrangement. If you’re interested in applying for ladder, just apply. For strat, make a care post and tell me why you want to join. If you’d like to ally or set up trade agreements, send me a PM.

You are more than welcome to stay in our teamspeak rent-free. Infrequently, the data center in Dallas that this server is hosted from will get a gnarly DDOS, preventing use for 15mins-4hours, averaging about 30.
Also if you don't want your IP to be bundle of stickss.mainvoice.net I understand.
I fucking love the concept, man. Go hard in that forest paint.

This actually looks really cool. :) If you still need a TS in about a week you can stay in mine for free. I'd also like to put an alt in here if that's cool :mrgreen:
