Okay so i look at my roster in my strat and only 4 people have signed up for my side. The other side has 30 or so and aren't even fighting for a clan. Whats the point of that??? How does it benefit them if they sign up for non-clan?

Dude, seriously you need to stop making threads anytime you have a question.
Read the forums first.
-
Ignore Panos, and make as many threads as you want if they have a good point (and a good topic)
-
How about you answer that one chadz...
Save Visibility button!?!?! The heck it does???

butthurt because I bashed you on Fips thread.
thats ok, sleep it over .

Plenty of possible reasons:
People don't know who the fuck you are
People know who you are and dislike you
People assume you won't have any gear since you're attacking
People assume you won't have any decent gear since you're attacking
The auto-accepting script is quicker than you at accepting people that sign up for both sides
Oh, and the point of signing up for a "non-clan" is to prevent other clans from gaining land in strategus that their faction or allies could otherwise obtain.

And the AI randomly(?) pays 400+ gold for mercenaries. which you (the attacker) don't pay.

I need to find a better word. It's used to save the rank for the items that will be used ingame (you can assign rank to mercs, and rank to items, and mercs can only use item if merc_rank >= item_rank)

Damn... I was browsing the main page and read the thread title as "Life: What's the point?" because of your reply.

Why hasn't anything been done about this? All that's happening is people are signing up for villages and not signing up for other actual real people. Just AI to exploit the gold at the end of the battle. It seems pretty obvious that this is a flawed method of doing things.
-
People sign up for the attackers, just not when the attackers have less troops than the village (as has been the case for every single fief battle so far except one, which the attackers won)
People don't want to sign up for a side that is going to 100% lose, when you attack a fief with 400+ troops people will sign up for you.
Of course though attackers have a merc limit considerably less than villages, but it evens out to both sides having roughly the same amount of mercs since lots of people who sign up for villages don't show up.

Don't hand me that shit, people have been signing up for villages because you get a positive score and get 400 gold at the end of the battle. It's quite simple really. Why wouldn't you do a trade run and battles and make 400 gold while you're also doing a trade run.

That is why people have been signing up for AI yeah but I mean, people will sign up if you attack a fief with enough troops too. People ARE signing up for "real people" when they have enough troops to take the fief. The only time the attackers get like, almost no mercs is when they attack with a garbage amount of troops and have 0 chance of winning.

Its not that consistent - Ive had quite a few battles with positive score and not gotten paid. Just 2 random ones I got lucky. Its actually a good thing to get more ai signups like this - too many people signing up for clans only would make all these ai fights really suck.
-
gold from defense, but this will wear of i guess, when factions have kickstarted their economy and take the first fiefs, they may loose interest in defending everyone village.

how about "Gear Rank Requirements"

1 AI pay 400
2 I will not allow any clan take AI's village or castle. The later the batter, for my own benefit, I will do my best to stop you people.

"rank item" or something? just about anything would be better ^^
