Mongols had the biggest "uniterrupted" empire for lack of a better word, while Brittish Empire had the most squre kilometers and probably population but was all over the globe

Considering direct british control spanned the entire circumference of the globe and the influence was felt pretty much anywhere that had a coast line it's fair enough to ssy it was the largest empire of all time.  A sick thing though of course.

I don't know about that. It controled practically whole of Northern America, whole of Australia + New Zeland, INDIA, parts of Middle East and Asia, and about 60% of Africa, including Egipt.

Sun

not really, Mongol Empire had 25% of the world population with 110mil. and British Empire had 20% with around 450mil. so yes Mongol Empire had a slightly bigger percentage but British had greater numbers. The land mass was almost identical and borders were uniterupted with Mongols so yeh that was quite an achievement in middle ages, but purely looking at numbers Brittsh Empire was the largest ever, if the time gap was smaller I'm sure it would be other way around but you have to take into consideration they had 6 centuries between them
