Just post in the thread. I will give it away to people I like and then make a lottery out of it.

Edit: Obviously it wasnt an easy decision. I've probably spent 3k+ hours on the game and I've had an awesome time playing. I've been thinking of quiting the game entirely for quite some time now and as the drama queen I can be I wanted to share my inventory with the community, not just my clan.

The latest archery changes was the last straw for me. In my opinion the balancing team are ruining the game and I also believe they seriously lack experiance of the game. Too much biased opinions (its quite obvious) in the balancing team.

I'll do the lottery tomorrow when I'm from work. Perhaps at 18 CET. I will take the number from your post-number.

I will not include Algarn or Blackbow in the lottery, since they already got one item each.

Bagge stahp. I know the situation is a bit ridiculous right now but it appears the people in charge simply lack the experience of an archer of your magnitude to see what consequenses this will have ingame in the big picture. Give it some and things might change.

If your rage still requires you to give away all your stuff I will take it and give it back to you when you come back.

I also enjoyed being on TS with you and the other Nords; even though I could not join as often as I hoped, it was fun to be there. If you are certain about giving away your stuff, I would like to apply to your lottery and ask for 250k. Well, I suppose Bagge is leaving not because of the patch, but because of some more important reasons that he has, otherwise that would be really silly.

It's fine to disagree, but I don't get the GTX. It has been less than a day, the nerf was already reduced once since yesterday and Tydeus has already stated that he isn't entirely happy with the current values. Wouldn't it be better to at least attempt to give constructive criticism/feedback?

Wait with the final descision please bagge. Your are one of the biggest heroes in the mod and youve been there since I play this mod. Everyone talking about archers is naming you and im sure there will be fun times with your mates in Nords, Byz or any other Groups again.
Also the peasant wars in strategus are incoming and I'm sure you dont want to miss this short bow action :)

There's quite a lot that neens changing imo to make archery balanced. Its not that archery is even OP infact it's nerfed to shit. It's just there is fuckloads of archers on eu1

Would that really help though? I did leave some opinions to Tydeus, but I guess that wasn't too big of a nerf to be considered.

Anyway, I'm tired of repeatedly adapt to the nerfs being made to my class.

I won't really be leaving completely, I'll still stalk the forums and duel on EU3. 8-)

Boohoo guys. There are a lot of FPS games out there, why do you have to plague this melee with an expectation of high damage and staggers with point and click ranged?

Oh thats right, in a real FPS you will have to contend with people shooting back

If anything is nerfed with ranged you will get other buffs anyway, its the usual way

There is no one way to balance something. There is never only a single right answer in balance, so when you message me on steam seemingly unwilling to even grant the possibility that balance could be achieved while still having stun restricted to only the torso, you've basically just removed yourself from the already small pool of players that are worth having a real conversation with. Simply giving opinions and experiences are one thing, I can get that from anyone. What's more important for balance decisions, is what can be gained from an actual conversation. At least XyNox is willing to grant me that much thankfully.

I don't like seeing you go and I can understand the frustration of having your class changed so often, but nevertheless, day 1 patch RQ is a bit extreme.

Edit: You made this thread before I even had the opportunity to test this in game on my archer. I still haven't managed to play more than just a handful of rounds.

Om jag var du skulle jag behålla mina looms och pengar. Man vet ju aldrig när man får för sig att komma tillbaka.

Dock gjorde Chagan_Arslan likadant när han slutade och jag upplever att han är mycket mer avslappnad när han spelar nu. Genom att ge bort allt och delete:a sin main säkerställde han att det inte kunde bli några "återfall" som bara skulle leda till stress och besvikelse.

Hur som helst... Om du absolut vill ge bort dina looms och pengar tar jag gärna emot vadsom. Själklart får du tillbaka vad du gett ifall du bestämmer dig för att börja spela igen. :-)

I really think you should have stuck with it.

I don't play much these days, but I put in quite a few hours recently seeing how the latest patches are. Honestly I think that it's just another patch to play through and acclimatise, archery has always been a bit annoying one way or the other but as far as play style goes not much has changed in my eyes.

I always lobbied in favor of not nerfing archers...(saying they weren't OP when a lot of people were whining on the forums about them).  I'm sorry my "nerf" suggestion about archery to remove ranged stagger (not stun) was implemented and that's what pushed you to quit.  I personally never thought archery needed to be nerfed (it has been heavily nerfed compared to native Warband for 2.5 years already, all the nerfs in that time were not necessary.  But people refuse to use teamwork or tactics, and want to just mindlessly w-key til they hit enemies.  But if they die, they complain about the other guy being overpowered... :rolleyes:).  I personally just think that nothing should have "stagger" in the game since polerarm stagger was removed, I didn't suggest it because I thought archers needed to be nerfed.

I never like top ranking archers, I mostly hate them because of envy mostly.

But I dont like players like you leaving because it reminds the absolutely shit that this mod is becoming.

There used to be a time where playing this mod was a dangerous place, not a common videogame, not mainstream, the feeling was different, like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fVvWqPlKCkQ

It has become slowly a game played on forums, posting and crying , like politicians desiring to change what people think, or what people should want to be happy with.

Archery was the only option to still enjoying a litle bit the mod due to my crappy ISP and constant high ping.... meh



Anyway I hope you play again in the future so I can headshot you back and feel nice about it  ;)


Edited: This mod is awesome and it has lots of work on it and good ideas and even free. But please: Think more about FUN: And look into your mod history (it is long enough) and try to see when did we have the biggest active player base and think about why. Just copy yourself.
