Title: Donate money.
Post by: NejStark on February 15, 2014, 08:55:01 pm
http://c-rpg.net/index.php?page=donate

I was waiting for my Meatballs in Ikea and people demanding things like strat start, balance, etc on forums popped into my head and kind of make me think - the guys making this mod dont have to fucking do this. I dont know how money is for keeping servers up etc, or if the team treat themselves with those donations. But anyway, just think about how much additional gameplay you have received as a result of this mod. Friendships have been made, satisfaction has been earned, entertainment has been given, because these guys stared at code for days, probably weeks.

Donate some cash you cunts. I plan to again next payday, and I dont know any of the development team, but honestly I'd like them to use it to buy themselves something nice.

is normally a bunch of numbers that the post service uses to find out were you live exactly in your city.

Edit: for example.

68165 Mannheim

Ts18 3TY Stockton on Tees

They are my english and german postcodes.

I don't think it's going to work if your billing address doesn't match up with your credit card billing adress.

The transaction was actually completed, I'm not sure why they needed a billing adress (I'm not sure I even understand what it is).

Another question though, what is "verify as donator" on c-rpg page supposed to do? It says my "email not found" anyway.

Uhhhhhhh.... If the billing address is an actual address you just sent all of your account info to a random person. Let's hope you don't need a new credit card.

Nope, if you use the link given on c-rpg page, it goes to the right adress. The "receipt" sent to my mail says it was send to chadz, so I don't think there might be a problem with that.
Didn't get what you wrote at first.
Anyway, how would that be possible to send my card info to a random person if what I wrote there was just "wut is that"?  :)

Nah it's paypal he should be fine. Your billing address is just where you live so it doesn't matter much unless you also gave them your credit card number, security code, etc.

Ah, I got it now. The e-mail I got from PayPal says:
Quote
Delivery address:      Aleksandr Nikolaev
wut is that
Moscow
12312
United Kingdom
Lololo. So I think the only case when it matters is when you buy something you need to be delivered to you. Should've read Andswaru's post more carefully.

You make sure that servers are able to stay online. If no one donates, servers shut down. Simple thing.

Anyway, you get a chance to get a LP every week. http://forum.melee.org/general-discussion/lottery-lardag-announcements/

Since I messed up my last point, don't they get money each time someone uses the crpg site and views an advertisement?

It varies between sites, but I dont think its a lot these days unless you generate a sale or click. Im not sure if I'm typical, but i use adblock now and dont even see the ads, and when I did't I never clicked them.
