When shield bash was first implemeneted I was really excited to play a shielder for strat and such. Unfortunately, whenever I use shield bash right infront of the enemy if he/she swing any direction the attack will go through the shield before the bash is landed. I would like to see the shield be able to block the atttacks of the enemies that would hit it in the bash. This would be a nice balance for the 2h/polearm agility users who can swing at a shielder, without the shielder being able to return swings.
Keep the thread civil and please show your support for this and hopefully things can be done to fix this.

Being a shielder myself, i have to agree.
The only downside is... I think it would be a bit over the edge with the time you disable your oppenent.
Best solution i can think of, would be to make it, so you can not interrupt a shieldbash, unless killing the bastert.
"modify" I meen, keep it as it is, but make it un interuptable

My pet peeve:
It's pretty silly how you have to be balls-to-balls with your target at the time of pressing V else you magically whiff, when the animation makes it feel like you should be able to V ahead of time and walk the bash into someone.

I do have to agree SLIGHTLY with this, as it is annoying when you go to shield bash someone and get killed through the shield instead.
However it is about timing, learning when a shield bash will and will not work, if you think about the effort given to shove someone away from you using a shield you would not be concentrating on defence, even if the attack would hit the shield you would not be braced for the impact, still causing damage to yourself.

Shield bash sucks atm and like many features in this mod, it was added but not tweaked enough.

they used to have the feature that shields on your back protected you more, so this change doesn't seem so difficult am i right?

Pfff... shieldbash is good when 2 fa..players are ganking the 3rd one but the 3rd one is either gewd blocker or a shielder himself. Shieldbash of the attackers may serve as an opening for another player. Another use for it can be easily found in strat castle-battles when people tend to push each other off the walls.
If you could block while shieldbashing it could lead to many trolly bash-bash-run builds that would annoy the fuck out of everyone. Also it requires better timing if you can't block while shieldbashing which gives it at least the minimum of skill-factor.
Shieldbash doesn't have to but can be useful, which means that it does it's role just like any other nudge.

All of the shield nudges leave you vulnerable for some time before the nudge lands, and for some shorter time after. I say just shift the vulnerable "window" later in the animation, so the shield is still protecting you for the early part of the animation, but you are vulnerable longer if you miss. Also, the hitboxes are very strange, especially for the neutral bash.
