Lets say that your enemy goes back to avoid your overhead, and then he decides to come front to attack, for some reason, if your weapon is near the ground (thus near the enemys feet) the game registers a successful leg hit , and in rare occassions a torso/head hit.
In the next days I`ll try to record this, and provide a video of the bug, but I`m most certain that other polearmers have noticed this bug.
-
This happens regardless of weapon type. Maybe not with 1h but 1h have too much speed rating for this to happen anyway. It's easiest to demonstrate with a great maul with the abysmal speed.
-
It happens with 1h too, even fast ones. Not as long "on the ground" but enough to fool someone to think that the overhead missed.
I hate it, but there doesn't seem to be any good way to fix it without unintended side effects.
-
This is just how overheads have been working for quite a long time, doesn't really depend on weapon class.
-
I confirm as polearm user... sometimes I hit ennemy AFTER the anim finished... :?
-
It's not to hard to pull off, and been around forever. One of the few moves that still catch people offguard, broken or not
-
How about the polearm stab? It seems to hit more to the right than where the weapon is. Not to mention with hands being part of the weapon, when you stab forward it's so easy to somehow kill a friend standing next to you... :?
-
All stabs are broken AFAIK

GAMEYNESS MUST BE VANQUISHED

One of the best tactics in cRPG right now is to go around with a Long Maul deliberately missing overheads, then dragging it along the ground into people for full damage.

Have you seen a left swing that becomes an overhead before? I have only seen this once and I was recording. No fucking idea how to repro it, Ive tried a few times cos it looks cool and is quite effective.

When I was polearm with a Long Bardiche, this was my favorite "bug", at least after they fixed the bug where overheads couldn't team hit. It looked like some kind of ninja move, and no one ever blocked it. Couldn't figure out how to do it on demand though, so I assume it was some kind of server-client hiccup.

I`m a polearmer, and I dont want a bug to help me kill my enemies, exploiting broken mechanics is for 2handers only.
