Can someone from the dev team explain to us, why its still in-game :?:
Cause:
1. It aint doing what it was supposed to do.
2. Is nothing but an annoyance for new players.
3. People use just about every item there is.
4. Days of Plate tin can monsters are over.
5. 70% of the prices on items donst make any sense.
Thx

What's wrong about it?
If you want to remove the upkeep, the gold income should probably removed as well.
-
Well that would be great wouldnt it :?:
WE would still need some sort of currency...
-
new currency: mabye stones or sand we find on the map ?
-
You get why? If, after the looms were introduced, we remove the upkeep we won't need a gold income anymore as gold would only be used to buy looms then. But if you want to buy looms you should have retired yourself before.
Remove upkeep -> remove gold income -> make items in shop purchasable for 0 gold -> looms on the market are only traded 1:1 for other looms -> no gold included any more -> people dont need to use peasant gear once in a while till they can use certain more expensive items again -> everyone happy?
Imo gold income was always meant to a) either buy gear you don't have from the shop and/or b) cover your upkeep. Not to buy looms, you get looms by retirering after all.

That´s the only purpose gold have now.
Only people who use gold for upkeep or buy shop items are new players.

new currency: Ears and scrotums. Takes 5 seconds of corpse-interaction to cut one ear, and 15 seconds to remove scrotum. We would have those half-naked marauders all over the battlefield, picking up the good stuff, while heroes fight :) Muich fun
