"You are running an unsupported version of Warband (WSE only supports version 1.143).
Please update or download the full game from http://www.taleworlds.com/download.aspx."
Oh...
I see....
.....
Is this why?
It really only supports 1.143?
-
Downloaded Warband installer 1.143..
Installed...
tried running WSE...
Still access denied.
.............
Read all of the other problems which seemed similar. Tried all solutions.
Still this:

Right click, then run as administrator?
-
Of course.
As well as running in every possible compatibility mode.
I don't get that "key is already in use" error like others seem to get.
I get access denied.
WSE2 used to work for me... But there was a patch sometime in early 2013 and ever since that it stopped working.
I have tried many things.. Including uninstalling, reinstalling, deleting, reinstalling, erasing registry, re entering keys...
All of the things in every other thread that has "critical error" in it, i have tried.
I can play normal warband but not WSE2 and i'm mad as shit.
-
I am going to try uninstalling everything again and re installing.
-
same problem
"Access denied"
-
I updated the launcher (0.8.15) to show more information when the error occurs. Can you paste/screenshot?

I am not a super computer pro but i think what this is saying is that my OS has some registry problems.
-
It looks like a system problem, but it doesn't say anything about the registry (where did you get that from?)..
Don't really know how to fix it, so try manual installation: unzip this (https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/30551702/wse2.zip) into your Warband directory and then run the launcher in offline mode.
-
Manually download didn't work.
Now i am resorting to the last ..... option...
Windows update.....
-
Did you forget to use offline mode?
-
This is how most of my attempts to get laid end.
-
Did you forget to use offline mode?
Nope.
