I did crush those assholes with a plain 1h mace, while they were full armored noobs with flamberges. (with 5 PS ...)

And to clockwork, there is no NA server. Either they went down totally because of inactivity, or there wasn't even one at the beginning. There are only 3 russian servers, empty at the same title.

And lance angle is like 180 degrees (or more). Plus the fact xbows can stun if they are used for 5 meters shots, and give a free hit. Also, there is no slot system, and everyone is using a flamberge with a great maul on the back, or two lances, plus a poleaxe and a shield. I call this retarded balance. :lol:

No. The balance is just horrible when you just only see either cav with heavy lances or 2h flambergers with a full plate. It's disgusting as the same title you don't got enough money to afford anything decent, and even if the crpg upkeep system is retarded, it would prevent Mercenaries to be invaded 24/7 by those kind of players who got most expensive weapons. Furthermore, wearing a helmet and gloves don't even affect your wpf -> I can go with mailled brigandine, kettle hat with aventail and plate mittens without loosing more than 17% of my wpf in archery and in 1h. See what I wrote before, and then, compare mechanics between cRPG and Mercenaries. It's way more realistic in cRPG.

I played that for a bit it is fucking terribly designed all over, you must be joking if you think it is better than cRPG. The only reason I enjoyed it was because the average skill level is like cRPG in 2011, which is probably also why team balance seems better. More clutching instead of 'best gank wins', people are simply bad.

Didn't watch the vid but kenshi is fun. Haven't played in a while since I wanted to wait out as long as possible as the guy adds more stuff but it was fun as hell even without a lot of stuff.

It's a great mod! Too few people played it though and it only had EU servers so my ping was like 145. So I played archer and it was still really fun....people actually accused me of having aimbot because I was always hitting them with high ping. :P
The part I really liked was that it wasn't as strict on equipment that they put in and perks/skills. It was a refreshing change from being restricted by realism, good looks, and balance.

all I want is decent balance. balance is way better in merc mod than crpg mod. I understand you want and like ganking (join the biggest clan) but then you and I are completely different and there is no reason to keep this conversation going

bought cs:go (had to! about time too!!) its same price O_o will get kenshi next month where they hopefully added abit more. I think kenshi is still too early alpha to pay the €10-14 but it does look like a good laugh and im sure I will waste hours and days on it once its less alphaish and more betaish

ye, my impression as well so far. but well ive only played a couple hours a night the past 2-3 late nights. I enjoyed it :)

I paid a pretty cheap price and didn't regret it. I mean being able to make your own city in the middle of nowhere and build walls around it? Protecting it from bandit raids while trying to make sure you get traders in? Trying to kick the other factions' asses? Its awesome.
Its a very fun sandbox and not all the features are in so its pretty amazing for one guy to have done. He has added on 2-4 people on since he released it on steam but he started everything on his own so its really impressive.
Granted it is definitely in alpha and there are bugs agalore but it was still extremely fun to gather up guys and defend a city I made.
Apparently one guy even made a trade route directly to his city that took him days to do by forcing traders to only take his wall. It went halfway across the map or something. Hilarious.
It is exteremely fun but still has a lot of work ahead. There's not much you can do with factions. No real diplomacy tbh. But the map is going to be expanded and other factions will be added in. One of them will be a midget cannibal tribe iirc. So it'll be fun. :lol:

Don´t know why there were so many bad reviews about this game, it was a nice zombie smasher, the story wasn´t that "wow", but I liked the gameplay and the incredible amount of violence

A huge turnoff for many people was the durability on your weapons. Basically you were better off punching enemies because everything degraded so quickly.

I prefer to forge weapons. I knew one game where you had to equip your army of furries (yeah ignore that m8), with a weapon of their choice. So you had a few dudes and you took an order, then you picked an ore to make the weapon from, waited for it to melt into right temperature (material dependant). Afterwards, you were to pour the molten ore into a mould carefully (but not too slowly).
There was an interesting effect on the weapon if you botched the melting and pouring. Depending on the ammount of fail, you weapon would look like piece of scrap metal you just torn off a crashed air plane.
Then you needed to add things like spikes, pomels, shafts etc.
The last part was to hammer it in the manner that the whole blade has optimal edge and sharpness, not too much but also enough to make in nice and sharp. Then there was the battle, where your furry army fought random monstersm beating them up for new ores and recipes. The HP of your soldiers was determined by type of the weapon, and the material it was made from, with the damage dependant on how well the weapon was made.
This would make a great adition to games where you can craft your own weapons.
Ill try to find the game in case anyone is interested.
