Also Hide Covered Round Shield (pre-patch best 0-slot shield) got a massive armour buff, which probably makes it a better choice agaist xbows.

No armour though so every hit will remove HP from it

Something you notice with low rank shields is how much of a bonus you get though with looming. Its always +53 HP so +33% on that. Hide Covered nearly 100% and 25 armour
