it keeps saying EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION

Welp, it's trying to access something it shouldn't, re-installing didn't do the trick?  It's always a good go-to step with games that don't take long to download.  Kind of like in IT when they tell you to power cycle the device :P
