I always thought Javelins should be the "sniper" throwing weapon, so give it crazy good accuracy+high missile speed. Even at 4 ammo, it's just a weaker Throwing Spear.
-
Ive always found jarids to be the best throwing weapon.
Throwing spears are too inaccurate.
Javalins have too low dmg an ammo.
Heavy throwing axes.. well.. nut enough ammo..
I think throwing weapons could use a complete overhaul an a whole new way of using the class..

Couldn't say better, the only throwing weapon that is worth picking are probably jarids and darts&war darts. Throwing lances, I don't know.

throwing spears are good if you're a pure thrower 4 more ammo is a bigger difference than 1-2 if you're hybrid
-
but the thing with throwing spears is, they have so crappy accuracy that I mostly miss 1 extra shot per stack anyway.

all throwing have crap accuarcy :D

Javelins are good for hybrid throwers who use melee most of the time. They only need 3 PT to use and like 70 throwing wpf to be accurate.

Good idea, and yes, theres no reason to use javelins atm so please buff them.

Theoretically, that's true. In practise such a hybrid build wouldn't succeed and would be worse than a pure melee.
