My car is a junker and so to go to any sort of real new years party I'd likely hit the ditch driving to the city and probably be there all night drunk, therefore freezing to death

No thanks

I don't know what i'll do later, i already partied quite a lot in the last 10 days, and  i also  got a burned hand atm , if later i'll feel like going out i will probably call some friends, otherwise  i'll rest.

At the end it's a day like any other imo, actually i had more fun during some weekends rather than new years nights.

Might bust open a bottle of bubbly and kiss the wife at the stroke of the new year (the clock won't be the only thing being stroked)

Craka I have bad news for you. You should mentally prepare for NEVER SLEEPING MORE THAN TWO HOURS IN A ROW EVER AGAIN

Son fell asleep around 10ish and was on Chivalry at the magical moment, gf comes in for a kiss, goes away, probably browsing internet listening to music. Briefly cRPG then playing Testament of Sherlock Holmes with gf in bed.

Meanwhile most of our friends are off their faces on goodness knows what partying here:

Yeah I'm okay with that (and it's been that way since he was born).  I just shoot for a full sleep cycle of around 1.5 hours, wake up, change his diaper.  Wife puts him on the tit, and then I supplement with formula til he's in another coma for 2 hours.

My wife and I were so exhausted we went to bed around 11pm yesterday, didn't even bust open the "champagne" (sparkling wine...not paying more than $15 for a bottle of champagne)
