can it be that hard to make a new map that changes things up a bit? maybe even one with a fog of war style thing at beginning, so people spawning dont know how the rest looks like until its explored?
id gladly sponsor a loom for a contest.
yay or nay?

My dream is to see strategus played on the map of Europe..

A new world map would require careful pixel terrain work for the different types of gound, but could be doable. It is not just the world map that you could maybe get from somewhere, it would have to be done (what you see in the stuck menu I mean).
An issue I can see is with fiefs, would you give them new names but use current maps? Because making new maps would take tons of work and at this point its probably not worth it, but the change in terrain may be fun.

na i meant keeping it as simple as possible, using the current fief maps and even names, idc. but a new setup of the world map would be fun, I am sure.
iirc the normal map was underlayed by some functional map with barriers and different terrains, so I understand its not easily done. but if there are some guys out there up to the task who would have fun doing it, I would like to know if there is a chance of it being implemented. If so, Id gladly host a little contest for a new map.
panos you just wanna invade turkey ^^

Fog of war would be awesome.

This would require intensive work and there is just not the manpower to do that afaik.
