Post by: Tyefire on December 23, 2013, 02:14:21 am
I know that sensitivity is a personal preference and I have tried numerous sensitivity, what would you all recommend for range/combat?

P.S I know this is a Newbie question but I just gotta know. I feel like im missing out.

Faster than your turnspeed (so your guy turns a bit slower than your screen, but not too fast)
Basically whatever you get used to.

It's important not to be too sensitive because there are a lot of trolls on crpg.  They easily resort to name calling and even cursing at the slightest perceived offense -- or even for no reason at all.

Therefore make sure to have low sensitivity toward such things.

I use a sensitivity that allows me to make a 180ยบ turn with one (long) move and that at the same time lets me block (manually) properly.

I wouldn't mess around too much with sensitivity, just pick something that feels comfortable that allows you to block or shoot targets accurately. Everything else is just muscle memory by doing the same movements over and over with the same sensitivity

Depends how you hold the mouse too. If your hand stays in the same position and you aim with wrist/fingers then you probably want higher sensitivity than someone who palms the mouse and moves the whole thing with the arm

I use about 15-20cm to turn 360 degrees and aim without moving the arm. Its a bit left of the middle in options and 800 dpi

Do recommend not to fiddle too much though, it all takes second place to simply getting used to one sensitivity and using something thats comfortable
