Title: MOTF at first round

I don`t know if a genius dev though it would be a good idea to implement this totally broken feature, or if it`s a simple bug, but it needs to gtfo of the mod, and the reasons are plenty, but ill just stick to the biggest.

The positioning of the flags is retarded

10 meters away from our spawn, if you want to do something else about the balance, add a one minute warm up round.

While it does make things interesting (NA here) it seems that either one team will reach the flag first and lock it down.
Or that one team will reach it first, have half the team stay, while the rest charge and get steamrolled by the entire enemy team and then the remaining half suffers the same.

EDIT: I doubt flags were ever meant to be placed evenly, by the time flags come it is usually just somone delaying while the entire remaining players are scattered throughout the whole map.

tl;dr: Flags uneven, can be completely one sided when they appear on new map.

thats my point, if you want to keep that feature, put the flags on the middle..

Sometimes yesterday even if you got the flags up it still didn't end the round.

Having them spawn at the first round instantly is not a intended feature of the last patch. So noone really ever thought about changing the motfs. Will do ofc once it's decided to be a permanent thing.

Yes and i definitly do. And my point is that even the ranged have to move forward if they wanna win :) Its simply alot of action, i like that even though i seem to spawn in the wrong team 3/4 times :D

Its a good feature when it would not be broken.
Would the flags spawn in the midddle of the map where both teams need quite the same time to reach them, it would bring teamwork and a huge massfight in the first round, which normally isnt given due to no bannerbalance in the first round.

It was explained that flags spawn now when a team has less than 5 players, so it happens at the start of a map before everyone has joined

Kind of like it as it speeds up the team balance, but flags don't spawn very fair atm. I would like the flags to have a wider area of effect and spawn more centrally

Makes me look forward to first rounds, especially if it spawns at an equal distance between spawns. That's not the case most of the time, but it does mix things up a bit at least.

Since MotF is looking to be a more integral part of the game-mode, I think it's worth moving them around even with the 1st round bug removed.

It's bugged but all in all, once we get it implemented properly (in the version that Tydeus said), it may become one of the nicest 'Battle' mode features.

While I like the action that instant MotF provides, I'd prefer it to spawn after 2-3 minutes of fighting OR just working slower in terms of being captured by one team or another.

What I hate about it is when I have a x5 and lose it because the enemy team just have to walk for 10 sec before they get there, while my team needs the double amount of time :/

Panagia, is the Greek name of the mother of Jesus, so actually my name is the male version of it, quite ironic since I dont believe in religions.

A year ago, one of my best friends called me Ajax for fun, becauseof my body frame, and I loved the idea of having that name, thing is that in order to change your first name here in Greece, you have to go in Court, and I lack time, money and patience for that, one day though... :mrgreen:

Damn, I think I cried at the moment when he killed himself on the beach, back when I was a child and read a lot of Greek mythology. Odysseus is such a cunt...   :cry:

MOTF that spawn at the start of all rounds would be nice, however the speed at which they are captured should be greatly reduced.

IMO.... it's the best round.  I love the carnage.  The only problem is the position of the flags.  I can deal with it just fine. 

I like the feature.  I just wish it was better implemented.

I saw Teeth stating that it takes about 2 minutes for each map to change the flags and it's no big deal.

Just gonna change the ones that are in the cycle =O
There are ~70 maps in the battle cycle and i don't think all of them need editing, some motf are already placed in the centre or around the centre of the two spawnpoints.

Seems like im playing the same maps over and over again.

Plus the flags are always closer to the 2nd team, that's why i always choose 2nd team and win

That's because of the shuffle. You play through each map in one cycle and if the you get unlucky and one of the maps gets played at the end of one cycle and at the beginning of the next one you feel like you are playing the same ones over and over again. =P
cmp checked the shuffle some time ago and it was alright, so it definitely goes through every single map before starting another cycle.

I like the idea, if it's fair. It turns the fight into a confusing melee clusterfuck, where leaving the area will result in your team getting outnumbered and the flags getting raised. It's also a good beacon for public players who are not in a TeamSpeak.

It's a great bug/feature.

Just need put flag spawns in the middle on all maps and good to go!  :twisted:
