Title: Crpg Server on the West?
Post by: Rain on December 19, 2013, 11:52:01 pm
Hypothetically do we have enough people in the CRPG community to spread them even thinner into a West and an East server?  I am extremely interested in getting a west coast server up and running, but the feedback from our admin team was that we do not have enough people to keep two servers populated most times of the day.  I guess what I'm asking is would we see an influx of new and old CRPG players if a west coast server was up?  Coming from AZ I know I would play on it consistently, but is it worth it?

Mid day nobody would play on a different server than the current one. At best you would have people on it during prime time while making two low pop servers insted of one.

I would absolutely love it as I'm currently living in California, but unfortunately it would not be worth it. As much as I would love lower ping, we don't have the playerbase to support splitting it into two different servers right now.

Yeah that's kind of what I was thinking no point in taking a smaller community with a low average and making it even worse

Its been tried multiple times, always folds after about a month due to either stupid adminship (trying to force duels at the end) and/or low population. No one on the east coast will join because why would they, and us best coasters seem to be fewer in numbers to support the west coast server.

A West Coast server would require East Coasters to have something to hide to be populated, right ? New beginnings.

I think tunatown lost the ability to qualify for xp and gold ticks because someone complained about fun. =)

Tis a shame that c-rpg na is so heavily favored for the east coast, it would be really nice have the server in Oklahoma or anywhere else that is actually in the middle of our great country.

We actually have a lot of Canadians, that's why they chose Chicago and not a southern state.

Well, Montana or Nebraska are a decent option.
