Obviously, straightforward approach isn't working, I've decided to change it.

Why should we buff archers? Reasons listed:

Or just have MotF pop up a minute or two into every round, then infantry gets to fight for control of the flags, while archers hide on a hill on the outskirts of the map.

The "fix" to ranged being "OP" (in numbers) is to give infantry an objective to fight over.  This will be a lot better than having them run around in circles chasing archers, or camping behind a building for 4 minutes until motf pops up.

But are sometimes also caused by the archer's unwillingness to trade a little bit of ranged power for anything else (like armor or melee wpf).

However, I don't think those that go full archer wpf with armor just below the malus threshold are making an error in reasoning. The game actually pushes them to do that. If you can avoid melee entirely, there is no point investing in PS or melee wpf. Hence why you often see players that have been archers since forever literally running around with those pure ranged builds.

Hehe, I'm not back, just posting here sometimes, because I always find some hilarious things... (I just play strat now, fuck EU1 and all other servers, even if it's a bit ironic because I got such hate for strat...)
