Title: Helmet/gloves weight and WPF
Post by: OzyTheSage on May 15, 2011, 05:38:33 pm
Okay, can somebody explain this to me? I have heard about it a few times but I thought that it only applied to archers to keep them from wearing heavy stuff. Basically I've heard that helmet's weight counts 3 times towards decreasing WPF and gloves count 2 times towards reducing WPF. If this is the case, would a 1.8 weight helmet (5.4 total 'weight') have a more noticeable WPF decrease than a 0.8 eight helmet (2.4 total 'weight') or is the difference not big enough to... well... make a noticeable difference, or do I have to wear something a lot heavier, say, 2.5+ weight helmets before noticing the effects?

I love how the helmet with lamellar neckguard looks but if it has too much of an effect on swing speed I might just have to go for the Vaegir helmet.

WaltF4 and/or gafferjack already have 2-3 threads explaining this in great detail.

It's a good thing you have a link to one of those topics, because I would love to learn more, but searches have come up with nothing because I don't really know what I should be typing into the search.
