After the strategus reset, why not have everyone playing on their own as in soloplayer? I think we should even delete factions on strat to break this principle and make it better
people could then play together as a faction without being one but i think that people would feel less "in need of a faction"
for gameplay balance i think that people playing together in an alliance should not exceed 20-30 players as in solo player, even less people would be better actually

Deleting factions would definitely make it harder for multiacc assholes who are leading everything through the special program or w/e that was

in all reality it might make factions that have 100 players with 4 actives as powerful as factions that have 10 players that are all active. if you cant know what your guys are doing and they won't do it themselves, it makes it a lot harder to deal with.
or make it so the max faction size is 5-10
