We are fans of Ancient Hellenistic Warfare. Hoplites of Greece was form to fight the same way as the hoplites in ancient Greece. We fight together as a brotherhood, forming the shield wall before engaging the enemy.

Strategy

Teamwork is our strategy. Forming the shield wall and fighting in phalanx is the main purpose of this clan. We stay together as a mob to destroy the enemy. Rambos and loners are not welcome.

We accept mains as well as alternate characters and STFs. Please inform the leaders in your admission message if you are new or not. First send a message to Athenian_Levy_Hoplite and if I don't respond, message the other leaders too.

Gear

1. No Japanese or Chinese armors or weapons.
2. Try to wear mostly the gear that is related to the armors of ancient Greece

4. All weapons can be used except Asian weapons.
5. All horses can be used except Middle Eastern and Asian horses.
6. If you have any questions about the approved gear or if you are not sure, please contact one of the Lochagos.
 

Classification

1. Hoplite(Polearm Shielder)-Basic member of the shield wall and also provides support to his allies.
2. Xiphos(One Hand Shielder/Two hander)-Basic member of the shield wall and also in the hottest part of the battle.
3. Peltast(Thrower shielder/no shield)-Member of shield wall that supports and assist in the fighting.
4. Toxotai(Archer)-Standing behind the shield wall and supporting his allies.
5. Gastraphetes(Crossbow)-Behind shield wall sniping infantry and range.
6. Hippeis(Lancer, One hander shielder)-Supporting his allies, bumping enemies, and killing range.
7. Sarissophoroi(Range Cavalry)-Supporting Hippeis and infantry.

Translating around, and wondering if Melee Cavalry could maybe have a name change, since it's the only name that is on there that's english. The following are some ideas:

Voithitikós = Auxiliary

Próskopos = Scout

Ippéas = Horseman

Axiomatikós = Officer

Lonchofóros = Lancer

Akrovolistís = Skirmisher

Just some ideas though.

Ouragos = Lesser Officer

Epilektoi = Veteran

Promachoi = Elite

Polemarchos = General

Hippeis = Cavalry

Thureophoroi = Skirmisher

Ekdromoi = Auxilliary

Thorakitai = Heavy Skirmisher

Hypaspist = Support Infantry

Metioikoi = Allied Infrantry

Not really start, Arcadian and Corinthian made the clan. I bought the banner and made the clan thread.
