Title: Renting items
Post by: Elio on May 15, 2011, 01:05:40 pm
Hi,

I had an idea that could be fun for everyone, rent its items for a period limited to a few hours.

That would allow to exchange cons another item or cons a small amount of gold.

A good way to try/discover items or earn a little money when your account is zero.

Example :
I would try a Destrier without spending money, I'm willing to exchange it for 4 hours cons my Courser.

I'm ready to pay 1000 gold/hour to try an Heirloomed Destrier.

A system that requires faith in someone else? On the internet? Never gonna work.

Yeah, IMO people are free to do as they want, but it won't be any good complaining about it to the admins if you get your heirlooms stolen this way.

not really good idea because people would just never buy stuff and that would ruin the game.

Denam: more like an automatic system I think.

You put an offer for 1hour.
Someone accepts.
System exchanges your items.
After 1 hour you get back your item.

That wouldn't be worth the effort of making it, I think.

If it's implemented it should just ban the sale and in all cases restore the item after the elapsed time.

And archive all transactions.

A tax system for transfers could limit these exchanges. But yes, it's hard to implement this concept ..

Example to limit this :

Fuck the internet, putting faith in someone else irl is just as risky!
