Title: 150k c-rpg gold for a new banner.

This is the current banner , made by DatFrog

I like it much, but we decided to make it more nordic varangian rather a byzantine varangian banner

^ This is the original banner, made by a RL friend for me, the only thing that is mandatory is the eagle.

Post your suggestions here, best banner gets 150k gold.

Take out the hawk and crow. Make the axes more nordic and larger and bam, there you have it (the red and black color is good imo, though white and blue would be better ;) ).

Keep the banner simple, no hawk (that's way too Russian) and leave the crow to the Western-Vikings (Vikings).


The Varangian -look is IMO much more better than the Varangian Guard -look. The Varangian Guard look is just too fancy IMO. Good that you're heading to the right dirrection.

He wants a Varangian banner. Not Varangian Guard banner.

Varangians = Vikings who did what they did in east viking routes (http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/d/dd/Varangian_routes.png)
Varangian Guard = Byzantine Empire's special unit. Basically hired Varangians.

Anyways @Panos(when unmuted again): You gotta be more clear with what you want, just saying "something in between" is as helping as "just make it cool". Nobody will ever answer this thread seriously because the goals aren´t clear at all  :?

BTW, if anyone of you guys out there is making banners, what do you usually request for it? It would be a rather simple work, no editing, etc. just transforming an already existing banner from the internet into that visual style of the crpg banners (I just lack the skill/photoshop to do this).

I'm not really sure what you want still. You want a mix of Byzantine and Nordic right? So maybe I should make the banner purple and keep everything else the same.  :|

i like ti but, the red looks to washed, i dont know it thats the right word, but the red should be stronger in the color, like our original red. more darkish ;)
