Title: wpf crushtrough
Post by: Nyalan on December 03, 2013, 09:07:50 pm
so the wpf increase damage. So does the wpf increase the chance of crushtrough?

27-18 155 wpf 9 ps does around 41.5 to 64 damage with a +3 great maul against 50 armor according to the damage calculator (which wasn't up to date for the skills and char attributes last time i checked)

24-21 170 wpf  8 ps does around  40 to 62 damage with a +3 great maul.

Is it the Str attributes and the weigh of the weapon that influences damage only, or the total damage included in wpf?

Based on anecdotal evidence damage matters. Oftentimes if I backpedal I won't crush through, but walking forward I will. I'm guessing it's because of speed bonus damage increase/decrease.

Anyway, having high WPF for crush through weapons is good for another reason. The speed increase on slow weapons from WPF is much higher than with fast weapons. With high enough WPF you can swing a maul pretty damn fast compared to someone without.

By super-small testing (with Templol_Bobby <3), I can say that wpf is important when it comes to crush through. I tried with STF character with long maul, with 12PS and 1wpf to crush through Danish GS. I've been holding my attacks, running toward the stationary enemy but I couldn't crush through (It was on the first day of the free-respec patch).
