Title: market spam
Post by: Glyph on May 15, 2011, 08:58:28 am
i think that if people will do actions like this:

stones for MW Danish Greatsword and 100000 gold

i think that for evey transaction you should get a message on the site with what you bought/sold and if you clicked miss than you can report so you'll get your stuff/money back and this way all of the spam will be useless because you can just get your stuff back with the transaction papers. an admin could diside if it was an unfair deal and undo the transaction.

though an option on the site is requiered

agreed... admins/devs could just remove those when they scroll through the market, looking for items for themselves.

y and put the dealer on a blacklist or some sort which automaticly bans dealers form marketplace for 3 days. though that software should be made by someone...

Purely because of the sheer volume of stupid offers on the marketplace, it would be hard to implement any kind of manual system, without admins/devs giving up a large slice of their time. While it wouldnt solve the problem, limiting people to 1 marketplace offer at a time would limit the spam somewhat and charging people a posting price would also make people think twice about posting retarded offers.

there could be a button at the sales "retarded deal"or something and if more people would press it, your transaction would disappear and you would be penalized by loosing some ammount of gold.

and there should be some filter in the marketplace for better searching. otherwise this market will be useless in a few days due to stupid spam.

but that would probably turn out as "press button","press button","press button","press button","press button","press button","press button","press button","press button","press button","press button", "press button","press button","press button","press button","press button","press button","press button","press button","press button","press button","press button","press button","press button", "press button","press button","press button","press button","press button","press button","press button","press button","press button","press button","press button","press button","press button", "press button","press button","press button","press button","press button","press button","press button","press button","press button",v"press button","press button","press button","press button", just fo the sake of trolling

you can as well pay money yourself for pressing the "retarded deal" button and only if the deal will turn out to be retarded under some formula you'd get this money back + money from the guy that made the transaction.

and opposite there could be "good deal" button you could press too. and if the deal would turn out to be good you'd get the money from those that noted this deal as a bad one. or you'd just get them bad if the deal would turn out to be good and nobody would vote against.

first of all, who or what will determine if a deal is good or bad than?

and, if clandeals are made every clan will just have a list of deals that you should press good deal even if its a bad one. to compromise and get money.

community will decide.
you still can complain about abuse and than i'm sure those people abusing the system would get such a punishment (like not being able to trade at all for example) that nobody would dare to do it.

but i think what i suggested is stupid anyways, its to complicated. normal tax for creating the transaction counted from the higher part of the transaction (offer or what is sbdy asking) while transaction lasts only 7 days is better solution - sbdy wrote this in suggestions thread already. and the minimal tax should also be like 1000 gold so there wont be any strawhats for 100g deals.

It would be  nice if there was a few search filters set in, like the option to filter for just Heirlooms, or just standards.

Just charge a small fee for every offer placed and transaction accepted. The more money and heirlooms involved, the more you pay. Every multiplayer game with auction halls and stuff like that has rules to avoid the feature to be abused. cRPG doesn't.

I disagree.
Why charging "matedeals" ? This is what friends for, helping each other.
You can always search for items you wish by ctrl+f and typing your desired thing so market spam wouldn't be problem for anyone i think.
