Harsh times had crippled Calradia, the weapons and armor of dead armies were reproducing themselves to extreme numbers. The GOBBLIN hordes were using the sacred art of Space Jam to dominate the world, several factions who had done nothing of relevance continued to do so. Among these factions were the DRAGONBORN, a Chinese conglomerate operating out of the desert fortress filled to the brim with thousands of slave laborer-fighters. This fortress was known as New Durrin Castle, and they had purchased it some time ago from a distressed lord who had chased his own tail until he met his demise.
The Central Confederacy will now try to liberate these slave laborer-fighters with a one-two punch of fury and animosity, delivering only the greatest of justice. This fortress has previously been deemed impenetrable, impregnable and invulnerable. We will now put this castle to the test, will it be as great as it is said to be? Or will the DRAGONBORN defenders fall to the traitor forces? Find out at the next tedious castle attack, coming soon to NA_3.

we saw a chance to get 18k troops, so we took it, don't expect this to be an FCC styled unending siege. We might only attack it once.

this is definitely a castle I've wanted to see in action! I'll be signing up later for whoever needs people more or just for both sides at the same time.
P.s. your *dramatization actually makes it look easier than the real picture!
 Go to hell. no one in this castle is your troops or will be your troops. You have more than 7000 troops. You hiding in the castle. You said you don't have silver to pay you troops. You deceived Dragonborn, let them provide for your troops half a month. but now, you troops still there even with out Dragonborn's silver . Dragonborn made a clean break with Blood. No one will be your troops until you don't lie.

:| Most of Dragonborn's members still waiting for the winter vacation.Only 2 of them always online. You will see a lot of Chinese crpg players defend this castle, but not strat players. Lots of Dragonborn's members are the victims of ken's knavery. I'm a victim too. I think we are too kind. ken has his 7000 troops and don't use them. He always instigate us to attack another desert fief for him with no reason. In fact I don't like him. He's a bane. When you see him, the war will come, and it's always hard too win. He stay in this castle only a week. Now, the impending war shatters the golden peace of Dragonborn. I must try to protect this castle. I can get troops from this castle. I don't have too much Strategus Ticks. visitors can't see pics , please register or login <----- If you can see this image, you will know why.

They want to join in. They want XP. we want to win. and we must face to the public voice. If we lost their support, we will lost the chinese army too. In fact, none of Dragonborn can show up on this siege. they are all at work or at school.
I feel like my faction might have to take vengeance for the Chinamen.
Perhaps the job of my faction is also to defend the weak.
Disgusting opportunistic CC.
we are truly shit-lords

don't attack FCC because they actually want to play the shit-game strategus minigame; deny them the pleasure of doing anything because they've gotten 2 GOOD AT STRAT

Today marks one of the greatest events in history; the liberation of 18281 slave laborers and the collapse of one of the supposed "impenetrable" fortresses.
The DRAGONBORN defenders put up a brave fight, their initial outward sally cost them their front walls, as well as the top of the keep and the gatehouse. The following fight erupted into a monsoon of death and XP, only twenty minutes of fighting took place before the attackers captured the under-manned walls, a valiant victory for the Confederacy and mankind.
The liberated slaves, having just been given their freedom decided to join the Central Confederacy's ranks as properly equipped and payed soldiers. There has yet to be a decision made as to who will own the castle next, but there are certain speculations that it may be gifted to a nearby king.
Regardless, the Boxer Rebellion has been quelled, the foreign intervention force proved capable of handling the situation with dexterity and haste. Numerous veterans of the battle reported large sums of experience, and many excellent kill to death ratios were had.

I hope everybody enjoyed the battle, and I hope everyone has a great thanksgiving.

Well they aren't Asian-American though. Just Asian, hence the ping.
They're American now, my friend 8-)
On a different note, how does it feel to have one of the most badass castles in strat, Artyem?

I gots mixed feelings bout it. I hope you do something cool with those troops that the Chinese players spent all those months working for. I am disappointed that it was such an easy fight at such a good castle though; more people need to sign up for underdogs cause strat is sure awful if you cant get decent rosters to help you use all your troops.

How was it so easy? Attackers went 2:1 attacking....So, what happened?
Also chinese apparently Item bombed the fief cause they could?
Heavily item bugged from when they first bought it so couldnt access shields from the beginning. They changed the attackers spawn behind the castle and it was really easy to ladder up to back keep and build forward spawn because defenders had no ladders to get up there. So spawning inside castle the whole time. It was bad time slot for them - most at work and school - had to do roster over the phone with malgalad contacting them. So short 12 mercs (they even dropped rohypnol and some other good players between phone call roster and language barrier) and 1/3rd our roster had 300+ ping (most likely why CC decided to attack the oh so challenging chinese faction).

Well, they've had it for so long, Gear bug (to much gear) doesn't count. They've had it for neigh on 2-3 months.
Concerning the attack time: They had nighttime settings that made the battle at 1 AM our time(and pushed it back 8 hours theirs)

Why are you defending a faction that has not done anything for months and previously attacked Raven/Dracul a few wars back while we were at war with other people at the time? I fail to see the reasoning behind your vehement defense of them. Oh wait sorry I forgot I was talking to Kesh and if you do anything he does not approve of you will get harassed via forum and PMs.
My mistake.
PS Happy Thanksgiving to everybody!

hahaha came back on thanksgiving for a vehement vitriol after i answered why the k/d was so bad for the chinese faction defending a castle, basically stating how the siege went with mercs and item bugging. You stay classy relit.

yeah its the same stupid crap we have with battles at 2 am getting pushed to 10 am. Instead of a shitty late night battle it becomes a shitty daytime battle during work and school hours. Still need nighttime settings to be more of a 10 hour window to be attacked.

I, for one, have no problem with Dracul's victory. NA doesn't have enough fiefs for factions to AFK in a castle. There's really no excuse not to fix an item bug when you've enjoyed peaceful possession for a matter of months. Dracul needed a castle, and now they have one. As a bonus they gained troops to reduce, or even erase, their losses in the last war. I look forward to being on the walls defending with them for a change in the sieges to come after so many difficult attacks on Yruma.

The captured combatant stood silent before Joe on the edge of the most badly damaged, crumbling section of wall of Nova Durrin. The POW was silent, staring off into the distance, towards the now empty Confederacy siege camp. All the soldiers has moved into the castle after their victory. Joe heard the dull rumble of conversation and the clanking and banging sounds of the recently captured fief behind him. He didn't turn to look, though. His eyes were fixed on the rump of the Eastern Warhorse. The horse maintained airs of pride, despite having lost everything. It was cute. Joe poked the enemy's rump with his sword. "You'll answer for your crimes, dog," he said.
The Eastern Warhorse didn't look back. His ears pricked up, though.
"Two hundred and sixty one good American sailors dead," Joe tried, testing, poking, looking for signs of remorse. "And you hadn't the decency to declare war first." Joe had lost friends in that fateful explosion, all those years ago. He'd swam down, deep into the bay, to recover some of the bodies. Immortality had its advantages. Of course, it was also responsible for his being here, now, all those years later, still remembering the loss.
The horse, still looking off the wall, said something in a quiet voice.
Joe didn't understand, and didn't care, "CEASE YOUR MOONSPEAK, SPANISH DEVIL!"
Some Confederacy men, standing on an adjacent wall, glanced over.
Joe ignored their attention. He was angry. The fiend standing before him felt no remorse, and hadn't the decency to use proper, 'Murrican English. But, Joe had expected this. He hadn't really brought this horse up here to just ask him questions. No, no--he was going to make the animal pay for it's crimes. Affiliation with murderers of the past was self-damnation. In the days of old, gods would punish mortals for smaller things. Joe remembered, and continued the tradition with gusto.
He grabbed the horse's hind legs. "YOU KILLED MY FRIENDS!" Joe screamed. The horse's legs tried to push against him, but he held firm. It tried to back up, but Joe was too close.
He knew how cav worked.
Joe planted his feet. "HELL! HELL WITH SPAIN!" he cried, twisting, jerking around on the spot. He flung the horse like a discus over the crenellations. The animal flopped over the wall and soared a few yards before landing in a dead heap at the foot of Durrin's walls.
Joe turned around, his passions incited by this recent violence. Inside the castle courtyard, and along the walls, Confederacy men and mercenaries had stopped to stare at him. Artyem appeared from inside the keep, wearing golden robe and clutching fistfuls of gold coins. He was escorted by THE GOBBLIN KING, who was laughing and pointing up at Joe.
Now was Joe's chance.
He shouted inwards towards the gathering soldiers and servants. "Men!" he cried, "The Spanish dogs are defeated! The Maine's destruction has been avenged!"
One or two men clapped. Somebody whistled at him.
"Yes! A great victory, but it is not enough! This castle, stuffed with men like a butt-hole stuffed with men--or marbles..." Thoughts of butt-holes distracted him, but he needed to stay on topic. "This castle was just a foot-hold forgotten about by the Spaniards! We must take the fight to them--go to Europe--cross the great divide!" Joe was getting excited. He removed his clothes. "I exhort you, men of AMERICA! Take the fight to Europe, home of Spaniards, and finally avenge the great injustice! Open the gates of freedom!"
Somebody echoed his cry. Soon the castle roared with cries of, "Open the gate! Open the gate!" The world seemed to shake with the cry, and Joe saw all that green and smiled.
