Title: Bastard Sword Secondary Mode

I'm not sure if there ever was a change to these besides buffing their half-swording capabilities so correct me if i'm wrong.

I think it's secondary mode by pressing X' should be 1h not polearm, that can be reserved for the greatsword class. I mean honestly you don't actually ever switch to half-swording mode when in close quarter combat, it's short enough already! Anyways, they should custom make their stats like they did for the half-swording mode. Something like...

Heavy Bastard Sword - 1h mode

Speed - 90
Swing Damage - 31c
Thrust Damage - 21p


Longsword - 1h mode

Speed - 89
Swing Damage - 32c
Thrust Damage - 21p


Bastard Sword - 1h mode

Speed - 91
Swing Damage - 30c
Thrust Damage - 20p

Can't be done. 2h weapons when used with a shield have modified stats based on the primary mode's numbers. So raw damage and speed stats * .85 (15% reduction). Well, it could be done, but it would require making the weapon 1h I believe. Furthermore, our resident historian shik has informed me that the bastard swords were in fact half-sworded more frequently than even greatswords were.

But you could do them the other way around.  Force 1h weapon type on them with a 2H secondary and write whatever stats you want.  But then it becomes an inconvenience for 2Hers, who are the primary audience.

Tydeus, what determines stab animation type by the way?  Langes messer is the only 1h/2h weapon with a stat.  I feel that it must be completely changeable on a per weapon basis, since Flamberge exists.

Animations can be decided by flags. Setting the weapon as a 1h would remove the ability to halfsword the weapons, so that's not an option.
