Wondering what a good cav build would be with heavy lance and I would want to know what horse to use that's good but under 20k
-
the courser is a fine horse for a heavy lance build. its speed combined with 7-8ps can do a nice amount of damage, also you can stay away from horsearchers and roam the battle field as you please.

Im super poor only 430 gold after I bought all my stuff for my HA build oh well
what build will go with a heavy lance and courser?

max that shit. 18/18 is a lvl 30 build, up to you if you want to have shieldskill or if.
-
Like Torben said, the heavy lance is perfect to use with the courser.
If you just want to play the build one gen, you should take a solid lancer build without athletics.
I would go with 21/18 7ps 6ri 6wm and 4 shield.
-
Alright so 21/18 7 ps 6 ride 6wm 4 shield?

That makes you helpless on the ground even at level 30. Go for 18/18 first time around, I'd say.
-
alright then what skill points should I have wm,ath, ride, etc or should I keep the same ones as if I was 21/18

I'm normally a big fan of high athletics but for a dedicated horseman you can go with 0 athletics.
While it's true you are at a big disadvantage on ground when alone, you are definately not helpless.
With a shield you can just hold it up and walk back to your teamates.
Without a shield it's a bit harder but usually you just need to make a couple of successful manual blocks to reach your teamates.
Having 1 extra PS helps killing, so swing away, you might get one or two.
When on horseback, the most important thing is to make sure you have teamates nearby if you lose your horse.
Don't ride away and fight where there are no teamates unless your horse have most of it's hitpoints left.
Some of my best scores today (0 athletics):
219 32/3
118 20/3
136 19/4 - nice score by TomMyyY :)
My build:
Level 33 21/21
7 power strike
7 iron flesh
7 riding
5 weapon master
145 polearm wpf

What horse do you use riddaren?

What horse do you use riddaren?
I use either the arabian warhorse (which is the reason I have 7 riding) or an armoured horse like the charger.
When I use the charger I usually also use the heaviest armor possible. When using the arabian warhorse I use medium armor.
The arabian warhorse is superior to all other horses as long as it doesn't get shoot. You will (should) rarely take melee damage due to the good maneuverability.
ps
I use the regular lance since I've got used to it now (after 5 months or something). Previously I always used the heavy lance.
I've tried the heavy lance for a bit since it got buffed by 1 damage last patch but it feels uncomfortable. It just feels too slow.

You can use courser, arabian warhorse or even the lightly armoured barded warhorse without losing money.
Just don't use so much armor (given you have a shield). Go with something like this:

Mail shirt
Clibanarius helmet
Mail gauntlets

Join a clan and lend all gear from the armoury.
Kalmarunionen has a fee of 200 gold per item a day.

The build depends on two things, what horse do you want to ride, and do you want shield and/or 1h with the build.
Sounds like you've settled on the courser (good horse for not too much money).
I was always fond of the 18/18 build for courser (at level 30) but that's because I always had 1h/shield in my build. If you are going pure polearm, no 1h/shield then I'd suggest going 21/18. If using 1h/shield, then go 18/18. Here's my build suggestions for both (you can test the WPF before saving your character stats):
18/18
1 IF
6 PS
4 Shield
6 Athletics
6 Riding
6 WM
Split WPF between 1h and polearm (I usually did an even split, or would favor 1h slightly)
You don't need more than 4 shield on this build.
21/18
7 PS
5 Athletics
6 Riding
5 WM
All points into Polearm WPF (you may even want to drop to 4 or 3 WM and have 6 athletics and maybe some IF, I'd experiment with the WPF at the different WM levels before finalizing).
My favorite cav builds are (depending on horse you want to ride, i.e. pick the lowest agility you can to get by with the horse you want):
1h/shield/polearm: 21/15, 18/18, 15/21
Pure polearm (or 2h) cav: 24/15, 21/18, 18/21
