I have a pretty serious situation I came upon. Upon dueling someone you agree to fight them with what they are currently wearing etc etc. Today I dueled the number one ranked NA (not going name him but you can take a look) needlessly to say I was beating him 3 hits to 0 mostly meaning one more hit and I won, and gain a lot of points. The guy ran away and left the server, completely avoiding our agreement to duel it out when he accepted my RANKED duel, it says it as well in chat. Anyways what I'm getting at is this a ban worthy offense or should it be? Seems like this is happening more and more in duels people want to protect their score, and I believe it is a topic that needs to be addressed by an admin.
*Can take screenshot of said leaver with the chat log open
*Devs can make it so you lose when you die while in a duel giving points to the winner
*Or have people exploit this to get high points
Thoughts?
(Note I don't care about duel points just figured nobody else has addressed this issue)
-
people care about their duel points. don't bother with ranked duels people will run away and quit
-
That isn't the issue, it is the fact that people are exploiting this 'bug' and I don't think people with power to fix it know about this 'bug'.
-
they do, they just dont care about it enough or its not a big enough deal to fix it. there is other stuff to work on
-
Only No-life basement nerds do rank duels and care about duel points
-
Whenever you meet someone who cares about his duel points you walk away and tell yourself that you are a much better person than he is.
Wait, you care about duel points, hah.
-
Why are ranked duels in the game if nobody cares about it or wants to improve it? I personally would've loved to take 20 or however many points someone takes from number 1 person. It would make them cry in real life. Who wouldn't want to make someone cry in real life? We're on the internet ffs.

a pretty serious situation
lol.
To answer your question though, its just to add a bit of competition because a good bit of people actually do care. People just like to pretend they don't try at the game because its the "cool thing to do" to make fun of people who try/care (because trying at a video game takes so much extra energy right?)
-
Seriously, if he left it's your problem, if you care about silly duell points you will get into this child stuff.
-
It's funny because the OP is even more retarded than someone who disconnects to avoid point loss.
-
Should definitely be a bannable offense.
This and anything exploiting the duel ladder should be fixed or punished.
The problem is proving it is done on purpose. A disconnection can happen without being on purpose, even if the timing seems obviously to be going in favor of a on-purpose disconnect. You would need lots of accusating screens and probably videos to prove a fact like that.
A easy fix would be what you said :
*Devs can make it so you lose when you leave the server while in a duel giving points to the winner
But like Osiris also said, this is not being to be taken care of even if it sounds like it would be fixed in a heartbeat. You need to get in the ears of the devs and even then its not sure they will just go out of their way for you or anyone for that matter.

There are a million more effective ways to do this than winning a duel in crpg.
Also this whole thing reminds me of back when I played Starcraft / Warcraft III and people would get frothing mad at PLUG PULLERS YOU RUINED THE GAME and swearing at a person who is not there for 10 minutes before leaving the match themselves.

They should fix STABS GOING THROUGH FUCKING BLOCKS first, because that is an annoying thing.
-
k don't fucking fix that leaving shit idc about my duel points ok? But this is pretty annoying when someone leaves. It's not enough for raging on forums though.
-
If you really have a problem that people don't want to duel with you because they are afraid of losing points, just challenge them to training duels only.
