Title: Having a rough time with repairs, need advice/help
Post by: N8te on November 18, 2013, 05:33:00 am
Near enough every round i have to pay to repair my gear pieces and it's costing me a lot more than I'm earning. I'm an Archer class with a Horn bow and bodkin arrows. My armor costs little to nothing to repair, and my upkeep is below the 2k threshold. Is there something a new guy like me isn't understanding? :(

play nomad bow and tartar arrows for a while, even do a few maps just with a one hander to build up some gold. i'd would resort to using broken items though, thats never a good place to be

bodkin arrows.

There's your problem right there. Multiple stacks of bodkins results in quickly loosing money unless you can maintain a good multiplier (x4 or x5).

I always try to take arrows according to how long I'm surviving on that day.

Short lives or low multi - I take 1 or 2 stacks of tatar arrows
Medium lives or multi - I take 2 stacks of tatar or 1 stack bodkins and 1 stack tatar
Long lives or high multi - I take 2 stacks of bodkins

With this I pretty much stay even on upkeep to pay (a very slow gold gain)

A total gear cost of  roughly 30K is the break-even point of income and payment. If a player offen gains bonus, the point could even rise.
