Title: What's better, the "Heavy Bastard Sword" or the "Longsword"?

Hi, I was looking at these 2 swords and saw that the Heavy Bastard Sword has more weight but less damage, also it has more speed but less length than the Longsword, so which one is better? has the weight something to do with the damage? or the speed in this case? Wich one do you think is better?

Personally I prefer the HBS, though it is a very close call.
The higher weight makes it get stunned slightly less, and that 1 speed may be the difference between spamming someone and not being able to, whereas 1 length is hardly appreciable and the damage does not matter that much as you are not close to the glancing area most of the time.

The only thing that I don't see logical is that the Longsword has less weight and is slower than HBS, how can be possible that a weapon that has more weight has more speed?  :?

The Heavy Bastard Sword because it has a sleek and slim design whereas the Longsword looks fat.

Neither. They are different and it is all a matter of preference. The item balancers would not make one or the other better for no reason. I guess you could say that the cost of the weapons is a valid reason, but the item balancers only seem to use cost as a balancing factor for really cheap items.

This is a good point.

The HBS is slightly more heavy than the LS, yet currently it is faster and does less damage.
Theoretically speaking, a blade with more weight behind it should damage more not less, and possibly swing a bit slower due to the user having to move more weight. 

This is a weird inconsistency. 
If the HBS were to keep its current weight over the LS, then it should be the higher damaging of the two, and the slower of the two.
If they want to keep the damages and speeds the same as they are now, then they need to make the LS the heavier of the two.
