This mod has exceeded three years of age (it is a very long-lived mod just because it's great) over time have changed the weapons, maps and game mechanics ... is in constant evolution. However, I decided to post this topic to share with you the memories of the golden era of CRPG when the servers were completely filled (EU1-EU2-EU5) and had to take refuge in the server to play EU4, Pecores, Nordmenn etc ... I remember with a little nostalgic these days .... I remember it was quite usual to see players in heavy armor wielding great maul or flammberge, mythological players as Phyrex, PolePoop and Massasin ..... if anyone has pictures of the period and want to share them in this topic would be very funny to see how we were!

Bring back x-mas crpg on a server permanently and triple x3 the xp/gold rate and I'd play the shit out of that. Will probably attract a bunch of old players that don't play at all anymore rather than split the community.

I dont miss the old unbalanced crpg, but i do miss the old players, and constant 120 people on eu1 :( And i miss the feeling of being new to the game.

When I started playing, both NA and EU 1 were full every day during primetime. I recall many times playing on the other server and waiting for the full one to open up.

I also remember ladders and maps with no invisible boundaries. Wandering off to buildings on the very edge of the map, then climbing them. It was fun to explore.

I remember playing a year ago and having other cavalry be better than me; I.E. Huey Newton. Those days are gone and now I am the only good cav NA. I miss the golden days of cav when lancers could run around and go 30-0 and then get dehorsed and go 40-0 as 2h hero.

cRPG improved itselfs with new things, but I will always remember the double XP night (200 people, and 20 fps in the biggest clusterfuck ever in arena + bugged chat  :lol:). It was gold !

It was only last year but I wish I had the final fun battle between FPF and KUTT in strat v3.

I was going spastic with delight when I rounded the hill above the KUTT spawn with 20+ cav in tow on +3 mamlukes all wearing full gothic plate with bevor... It was a sea of Frank's powering over the hills into a Swiss pike wall. It was glorious!

my first really great experience int '10 crpg was having my first good shield with low-medium armor and standing in a shield wall...
its weird that there was more teamwork back then then there is now

I started playing in June of 2011 with a lot of nostalgic memories battles with 120 players on EU1 and 80 players on  server fixed in EU 2-5 ( siege mode ). The mechanics of the game was very different so it was very fun to face a knight (using a two-handed weapon ) today has changed the mechanics of the game ( becoming more balanced , and rightly so ) to balance the cavalry. regarding who really impressed me at  has now been on the server Eu4 Phase I saw him fight against 6 players (3 of which were in high relief) and defeat them then I remember Ru_Conquista_Crhono in heavy armor and great maul that was unstoppable (perhaps after has been banned for use autoblock  :D) I remember the clan 22nd (there were good players ) the large clan of French Pecores , one of the Italian Legio . I liked to style Massasin ( reminds me Bagge ) . Another my memory goes to Ivani 4 (can not remember if it was called in some other way all the time) armed Brigadine red and warcleaver charge headlong and mow 3 opponents . and another and another and another .....
However I thank all the players who have shared with me many hours of play and for all the fun that we have given away one and another and with their diversity have made this mod great

What kind of training is that? Not trying to be negative, but standing in cute formations isn't really effective in a chaotic battle.

From what I remember back then, archers mailny used bec until it was switched to pierce. Then they all went over to LHSM (which was balanced back then)  :P
