Title: RimWorld

Looks a bit like Towns/Gnomoria(??) etc. - though I never actually played any of them, at least not longer than an hour or so.
Too much tedious micromanagement, not really any fun imo.

This one plays more like a rogue-like though, it seems. Inspired by Dwarf Fortress, FTL and the great Firefly series.

Public alpha supposed to happen in January.

For a second I thought it was a online community simulator.

Played it, loved it, cant wait for the full release. I took the easier gametype. Once I completed all the research and built all I needed, I started a cruel and brutal dictatorship in my colony. Everybody who got lost or stranded on my side of the planet got thrown into a dark room, without any food and then beaten to death and later buried in a shallow grave. I quess I have issues, but to my defence, I got really bored. All the entertainment just faded as soon as I finished all the research. There wasnt a lot of em cause the game is still in alpha. I liked it. Much better than "Towns" imo.

Gonna give it a go I think. Tried Gnomoria a bit ago. Been looking for a good game that I can play in between lives of c-RPG. Gnomoria was a little too intensive on the micro-management for me (plus the bugs made me lose interest). Maybe this'll fit the bill better!

Hmm. Does look more interesting than first glance after reading the kickstarter page.

Didn't know there was a playable version already. Gave it a try and it's not bad. It just needs a lot more content and... maybe extremities, too
Pirates eventually raped me during a solar flare, when all my turrets went off :(

"A local squirrel has gone mad." lol

Whenever I pretty much lost all my turrets outside and my guys where wounded I made all of em run indoors grab shotguns and then be ready to blast away. The lunchroom was filled with corpses and blood.

Where did you get it? Did you have to "donate" $30?

I got it from that site that has a ship on it. Not completely proud of myself thou. Torrenting indietitles feels so cruel.

You have to think of it as a free demo...

Piracy is bad, mmkay.

Picked this up again. After some breaks. Its got some decent upgrading done. I mainly like how now your colonists can lose limbs, eyes etc. So after a long period of time by sticking with the same guys and fights you might end up with a colony filled with handycapped people.

This has gotten asston of updates now and is relly awesome. Its got asston of different crafting, different farming, diplomacy, heat, cold, fucking everything. Its got freaking cyborg bodyparts now. You can turn all your people into fucking cyborgs. You can now steal organs from your prisoners and sell em. Like, you chop off a guys lung and than throw him into the wilderness and sell it to some shady dealer, while the poor bastard limps for safety. If you still havent played or havent done it in a long time, definately do eeet.

Can confirm, I doubted the game would be fun as it's still early alpha/beta but goddamn it's addicting. With some mods (Epyk pack, check it out and at least downlad a FEW of the mods if not all) it's VERY FUN.

Especially the mod that adds DwarfFortress level of limbs details (toes, hands, lungs, kidneys, bionic implants for arms/legs, skin), shit's fun. I had a sad accident where my sniper shot off one of my soldiers' legs, we treated him and bought a bionic replacement from the first cybernetics trader that came, that bastard is a sprinter now. Also he lost his eyes, so we'll need a few more purchases to fix him. :D

And you can eat people and craft clothes from their skin :)

It's a cool game, but after about 3 or 4 hours I feel like I've played through everything. Still needs a lot more content to keep it interesting in the long run. Cutting people up and selling their body parts is fun though.

I played it a while ago and thought it was pretty good for its super duper early alpha stage.

Looks like I will love it. Will wait until it's finished, though.
