Judging by the anxiety attacks and other withdrawal systems many of the community are currently suffering from, I don't think this game needs to have an even higher (effective) level cap goal for players to enslave themselves to.

We play with level caps for years, the population declines gradually as with all games/mods, less and less people are playing seriously anymore..
If the softcap was removed and people would be allowed to level to 50 in about the same time it takes someone to level to 33 currently then I believe it would open up more choices to the community in terms of builds and play style. It would allow characters to be built depending on their strengths, like another maul beast that takes 10 men to take down, what a beast. Such challenges would be common place in an environment supporting higher levels and stat freedom which would spice up the excitement on the public servers and potentially draw in more fresh players at the same time.
I just believe ppl who say no are either scared of change or losing the monopoly they've grinded away for over the past couple of years. Which is a shame, as these are two wholly selfish reasons for keeping the mod as it is which unfortunately after some time becomes bland.

so basicly you want to fuck me over who invested ... tooooo much time to reach fucking lvl 36 ... not even speaking of having 2 years ahead for lvl 37.
EDIT: a totally differnt thing which would help is , that you would be able to switch between builds anytim , people wouldnt need to have alts, all XP flows into one MAIN char, and you can safe and load your character builds anytime to your liking. That gives you a liberary full of builds you have saved and you can choose from just like ... oh a strat battle is missing some ranged thats me then ... or you could make a balancing system work which goes like, 20% on eu max ranged weapons, are there free slots for ranged ... yes i load the ranged build ... no i load the cav build ...

People running around as fast as a +3 courser and shanking you? No thanks (the current 13 shield rondel spammers are enough). I had a balanced build (cav with 18 str) and it took me 6-8 hits (the former with several blows to the face and perhaps some aid from team mates) to down these strength pures in strategus battles. This was tested using +3 Warhammer. You want me to take 16-24 hits to kill these people? Please keep the system you propose which is utterly unrealistic to MMORPGS (not to bash MMORPGs, I actually enjoy a couple).

I don't get it. If lvl 50 took as much time as it takes to get 33 now, what's the point of your suggestion then?
Everyone having builds like 39-27, items' difficulty increased, more damage, more hp. Everything is like before except for fucking up the whole game balance with 15-48 builds running faster than light (not even talking about cav) or 54-12 tincans oneshot-killing peasants with punches.
Sounds like bullshit to me.
PS: there would be no "superheroes" as you describe it because average damage would increase as well.
Supeheroes existed because they were better than average players, now average player is quite skilled and you can't change it by increasing everyone's stats.

Worrying tendency these days ... people seem to not appreciate that part of the reason why this game still has players (well ... when TaleWorlds has their shit in order) is that there's a certain masochistic appeal to grinding, leveling up, setting goals for yourself, getting something you worked hard for and fighting people with more looms and more levels than yourself.
Getting a hard spanking from a grindish system will keep me playing c-rpg WAY more than just a good fighting system and some obscure key settings. That I'll also have fun while I do my grinding is merely an added bonus.
Raising the soft cap from the 30es to the 50es will just increase the span between peasants and high lvl people.
