Title: yep, another damn movie recommendation thread

looking for any good movies about ancient Rome, particular, war/military
of course the more historically accurate/realistic/based the better.
I've seen a few, but i cant remember any names for the life of me.

The Eagle was a good one, I liked it.

Though most of the action in the movie is small skirmishes rather than large warfare battles, Which was about the only disappointment in the movie, because the one relatively large scale battle scene in the beginning of the movie was pure awesome. Regardless I really liked the movie.
