Title: Why don't admins change maps?
Post by: Life on October 25, 2013, 02:33:55 am
Don't know about the EU server, but on NA we often get shitty maps. Maps like random steppes and just terribly designed maps such as "There and Back Again". (Just the 2 teams running at each other, only option is to go forward)

Majority of the server asks for map change, but, the admin present "cannot do that". This situation seems to happen too often.

Because other than the native maps admins couldn't possibly know what map-name is what map exactly. Anything beyond native has a very weird order when it comes to the names. For example: Blank 10 on Siege is actually Blank 29 (Or 30?! I don't even know anymore).

Carrot and the stick.

The goal is to get you guys to work with the scene managers to improve map rotation if you think something should be done.

Carrot - work with them and you get the maps and rotations you want.
Stick - don't work with them and deal with what you get.

But really, 5 guys shouting in chat to change the map with 50 players on isn't "the majority of the server". Nor is it fair after 5 city maps in a row to change the random steppe maps when cavalry finally gets to play their class. In a fantasy land all classes would be viable on all maps, but that's not the way it is. So while some maps are bread and butter for your class, others will be tough meat. You'll have to adapt or chew harder.

Dexxtaa is not longer an admin. You must not come around here very often.
