There is no reason to use bolts at all. I think perhaps they should be reduced to 0 slot? Maybe then there will be a reason to use them? Kindof like how the regular bow had no reason to be used before it was buffed. Suggest any other changes you think could be made to bolts to make them not a completely useless item.

Steel bolts costs 30x the amount for only 4x damage.

James, edit your post or downvotes are coming ... Because 0 slot bolts is madness.
Would mean that xbowmen could take arbalest + bolts + 2 handed sword/polearm etc.

That is insane...! Bolts have 4 more ammo and cost way way less!
When i was a crossbowman i would only use bolts even with an arb. Bolts repair often if you equip 2 slots of them so i would have a 13 gold repair over 409 repair (steel bolts) anyday

I wish that bolts modified other things besides just damage and ammo count. If you think about it, well designed bolts should be more aerodynamic and influence missile speed and accuracy as well. This way there could be multiple bolts that fulfill a specific purpose. Would you like to be more accurate, but sacrifice some missile speed and damage? Or would you prefer to be more damaging but sacrifice accuracy and missile speed? It gives the ability to diversify bolts rather then the standard, pay more money to get more damage philosophy.
I don't know if this is possible with the current warband script though.

lol don't worry boys just an idea I don't play much xbow myself. Was just wondering why anyone would ever use them
