Title: Black armor and black armor with stripes
Post by: Suchechka on October 16, 2013, 07:23:48 pm
Make them both lighter, with stripes and regular. It's idiotic, that they have over 20 kg + such high protection. I suggest 11.1 kg, 36b 14l. Btw, such type of armor was way much lighter, then chainmail.

I think black armors must get stats of coats of plates.

They already lowered (nerfed) the protection of them once.  Which I think should have been done to begin with, but it certainly fucked over people who had loomed black armor and were using it for the heavy armor it was (at the time).

.

I wasn't around at that time, but all armor is now essentially linear in terms of cost, defense and weight.  Some body armors sacrifice leg armor for more body, but overall have less defense if you added the body and leg.  That's good and how it should be.  There are a few exceptions, like that Mail with Fur that is inexplicably .1 lighter than an armor with otherwise identical stats.  Also there is the gothic with bevor that gives up some body and leg for head.  Then there is the matter of the fancy dress clothes.  But otherwise, all armor is linear and that's what it should be.

I think the thread poster is looking for black armor to get reassigned in the hierarchy, but has problems putting words together and doesn't provide reasonable justification.

I think he just likes the way it looks but he doesn't like that it's so heavy. What's so bad about it having a high armor rating? Besides changing the stats so drastically would screw so many people over.

I'm pretty sure there's a huge backlog of armors that people want added to the game.  Almost no reason to adjust any armor at this point.
