Let me explain.

Ranged are the reason I usually die. This is due to my playstyle, and the armor I wear. I'm not saying I would win every time if there were no ranged, merely that ranged generally cause my losses more frequently. There's a challenge to fighting ranged that I don't get from melee- specifically, they control the battlefield in a way that melee players don't- forcing me to chase them when, again, melee players can't.

This makes every round a desperate countdown in hunting ranged.

We used to have a melee only server, and to be honest, it wasn't as fun.

So despite all the vitriol you might read or hear from me about ranged, it's always been a love-hate relationship.

the people who make this game fun are those who don't take the game seriously. "Internet Knights" that's what most of these nerds are on the poll
