I like this, always hated those analog sticks as a PC gamer.

Although I wonder about durability.

Still, it is nothing more than the touch version of two analog sticks. Looks cool and neat but I don't think it qualifies enough to replace a mouse and keyboard. As I always say, a controller (any type of it) is only good for platformers and fighting games. The rest is tons better with the mouse+keyboard combo.

Did you even watch the video? It's kinda obvious that it's not the same as 2 analog sticks. Especially when he is playing Civ...

I did. It's not my habit to rush into comments without taking a look at the presented material. But obviously we see different things here.

It's not meant to replace kb + mouse.

Yeah, I know that. But undoubtedly, the ultimate goal in all of these controller renovation efforts is to present an experience that is as close to m+kb as possible. And all I'm saying is: This controller has made its fair share of progress at that, yet it's not convincing to me atm.

On a side note, I would still like to try and see how it actually turns out when I am at the wheel.

Did you not watch the FPS portion? It is miles beyond the analog sticks for a shooter.

I find it hilarous that they chose Papers Please as a demo game, just to kinda prove their point.

But unless you are really a couch lover I don't see the point.

Analog sticks are the first things that fail on most controllers, because you "cut" the sticks very slowly by repeatedly bashing them on their limits. I think this new controller will last longer actually.

why this when all you need is a HDMI cable to your tv and a xbow-controller for your pc for the exact same or even better experience?

it´s...fancy, but it didn´t startle me

I would like to see a keyboard with an analog stick for movement, is that a thing, yet?

You can find laptop keyboards with a analog stick in the middle of the keyboard, usually on 2005 - 2010 laptops used for work purposes, of what I have seen personally. Dunno if you can find them on separate keyboards.
