Title: I have great difficulty choosing my strat hero

I am about to become lvl 33 on my main again (I respecced a few days ago), but I'm not sure if I should go for lvl 34 or if I should farm some looms with my current alt.

this is my mains build:
no_rules_just_play_HRE
at lvl 33 I will  have 6 shieldskill and at lvl 34 that will become 8 (and probably one useless pure troll focussed point of riding)

and this is my alt:
Fortissimi_sunt_Belgae_HRE
gen 2
24/15 shielder
(very low upkeep armor, so playing this char brings me some money too)

Currently, my main is still my strat character, but I might change that.
Do you guys think its worth it to go to lvl 34 or should I use my alt to get loompoints so my main gets a +3 short sword and a +3 shield?

I know 8 shieldskill might be considered useless, but I think its just very fun and some kind of minor trolling when people don't manage to break my shield :)

That or 6 riding and be multi-build 1h/shield/cav pole/shield/cav

Id say depends on with what diversity you'd like to play with and wether youd rather use alts to play as cav or integrate it into your main.

good point, but as I already have the 6 shieldskill right now, I think it will take a shitload of time for me to get to lvl 35

but what the heck, I might want to have this now :P

My suggestion for the whole stratmain thing is to just alternate weekly since you can still play your hero while switching(?) and then after a week you can level your other character via strat. If you decide against changing last minute you can cancel it anytime which is a nice perk.

true, but I think I won't need the loompoints anymore.

I am selling my unused armour so I won't need the looms anymore. I'm going for the lvl 35 with 6 riding :D

So ... Have I to fear that after some months, you go on EU 1 with a heavy horse+ lance or whatever to hunt archers ?  :wink:

With the riding you will have a very diverse built which i think is indeed your best bet, allthough i would try to sneak in a lil more 1h wpf, allthough with that agi youll have plenty oh movement speed to make up for the wpf loss

Get a fucking 15/27 or 18/24 build already, jeez. It's not worth to go to level 34 if you use the levels to make such a dumb build.

I know those builds would be much more deadly and such, but there isn't a single hair on my head that thinks about maxing my build out.
I want to get a fun build and a super hybrid is really something I enjoy. The idea of having 6 riding at 35 is indeed a great idea, so that's what I will go for.
I absolutely enjoy my build so far!

I think you should use the name you're most recognised as just so you get picked easily for strat battles. The stats are probably fine for both

Hybrides are funny, troll builds are funny, making hoplite with 8 shield skill looks liek throwing skill points out of the window. But it's up to you ofc :P 6 riding is nice, but if you're lvl 33 now, then you need 140 000 000 xp to lvl 35... Good luck with acomplishing your goal I guess :P

Maybei should retire one last time and take 4 shieldskill so i can get 5 riding at 34?
