After the 0.220 patch i had some fps drops and compensated it by configuring my card for more performance.
After the 0.223 it became worse, i had constantly <60 fps even though my graphics is more than sufficent for WB.
Reducing resolution and effects brought no improvement, only playing in window mode brought back my old constant 120 fps.
Though it looks terrible with the window frame and taskbar.
Then i tried the "auto-adjust" setting in the launcher, which sets every value to max as i usually play so it changed nothing?!
Did that because i had no idea left what i could do, but guess what voila everything runs smooth again!!
I've read in the forum somewhere that some people had similar problems so try it, maybe it helps for you aswell.
(Perhaps rendering the cRPG light topic obselete?)

Probably doesn't help, but performance for me stayed pretty much the same for me. Using 2x 4890's in crossfire at 1920x1080 at medium detail (197%).

Me too, loads of stuttering and a big FPS drop, I even crash at DirectX7 that makes no sense I could run the game maxed out before with no problems.

Stuttering in this game usually involves how it behaves with textures and other resources, the latest patches added a bunch of those... It is RAM and CPU intensive, any decent graphics card can run it with max settings. Adding a 2gb stick of RAM helped for me. I have a 2.8GHz dual CPU and the used core is allways used to 100% when the game runs, that's the other bottleneck.
Make sure you have "load textures on demand" on, and try to play with the "force single threading" setting. Some people had big improvements, either by enabling or disabling it.

i don't really have the time to do it right now but i am pretty sure mostly the new items without LOD models are causing this.
If someone feels like creating low poly models for all the new items that might help a lot as it is way less work for your machines if it doesn't have to render full poly models of people on the other end of the map.

Did you try this one: http://forum.c-rpg.net/index.php/topic,5335.0.html ?

I have to run cRPG with Single Threading ticked in the Configure menu otherwise my screen freezes for 3 seconds alot of times during a round, making it impossible to play properly. For me I think my problem is caused by the new faces, because when I load another mod, then switch over to cRPG by joining a cRPG server, it fails to load a number of the face textures, leaving most faces plain white and only some with the new textures, my freezes then occur FAR less often.

Getting occasional 3 sec freezes too.
4 gigs of ram

I'm not sure what these settings are, as I've never seen them...
edit: never mind, I'm stupid, they're exactly where they should be. Carry on...
Would playing with multiprocessor affinity in Windows make any difference?

I've always had some stutter issues with the game in cRPG until I took off 'load textures on demand' in the configuration (before u enter game). I have a 1GB video card, so plenty of room
Game takes about 15seconds longer to load, but no more stuttering.

Thx, will try this.
