Just a quick question. Why is it illegal to post videos in diplomacy. Does anyone have the answer? Thank you for your time

European Oppression. Contrary to popular belief the American Revolution did not occur due to unjust taxes but rather due to the oppressive reign of King George III over internet forum boards.
A few quotes to put this into perspective:
"I only regret that I could post but one dick pic before being banned" -- Nathan Hale
"One of the most essential branches of English liberty is the freedom of one's internet forum board. A man's internet forum board is his castle." -- James Otis
"I must post memes that my sons may have liberty to better understand them." -- John Adams
"They that can give up the essential liberty of posting youtube videos to purchase a little temporary admin approval, deserve neither liberty nor admin approval." -- Ben Franklin

Videos themselves aren't prohibited; you can post them if they are relevant, self-made deals. Posting a totally bitchin video of some sloth is worth the warning, though.
As to what I think is your question: because of past decisions by the developers I'd imagine. If you're asking why they decided to do that, who knows. Ask em!

:( I got a 40 point warning for posting a picture.

Is it for role play or something? I'm just curious as to why.

I got pissed when I got my first warning but LtAnders explained it well: if you dont get muted on Diplomacy thread at least once, it means you are doing it wrong :D
