Pro-tip: Armor/weapon suggestions only get taken into account, if you provide actual models for it.Those are already existant as OSPs. I can make a quick survey at taleworlds forums if devs are that lazy.

I can assure you that crossbows and ballistas are more effective then handguns or fire lances. There is no reason not to include these fireweapons.

Animations and models (for handguns and arquebuses) aren't also a problem, there are enough other mods with fireweapons.
Until the mid-1300s, firearms were a rarity outside of China; and even more a rarity to be seen as a handheld weapon. Adding firearms into the game completely skews the histories of the European and Islamic worlds. They have no place in cRPG and they never will.
As for animations and models, go find them.
