You can use it with a Katana or another fast 2Hander to help along with your hiltslashes,  and you can use it to prevent 1handers from following up on the left swing nudge.

If you have enough athletics, you could probably have enough time to walk behind enemy's back and hit him ignoring his block, or at least make it very hard to block for him.

Which I always hated, this is a medieval combat simulator, not this

Cavalry gameplay is already like 2D dogfighting alone, but melee has the same flavor with mini out turn fighting and stuff, lol

The point of all nudges is to get the enemy off your nuts, to disrupt the enemy for a teammate to hit them, or to push them off a ledge.

The point of nudges is not to get a free hit yourself.

I agree 100% Sir! More FW-190s in c-rpg.

Its basicly useless for most 2h's, if you are thinking about getting a free hit in, since thats what u see most 1h's do.

The 1h nudge favors 1h players, since most of the 1h's has the speed to get a free hit in, but its not useless for 2h's.
- You might be able to get a free hit in, with a fast 2h.... but im not sure, i have not tested it, but its not a high amount of 2h's which can.
- You can counter the nudge and swing combo with a counter nudge, so that the 1h does not get a free hit in (most effective use in my opinion)
- Or you can use it to get your opponent away from you, or stop the momentum he has goin.

Better off switching your sword to polearm mode if you can and use the polearm nudge. Send em flying.

Use it for opening up an enemy's defense, if you have one or more players with you.

it is quite usefull against 2h and pole, because they have to block the next hit. against shielders you have to get behind their backs and this does not work everytime.

anyway, if i try to use it against facehuggers, then the nudge/shieldbash causes quite often my death because you are vulnerable as soon as you hit the nudge button.

I only use that to bring people out of their concentration during duels
dunno if it really works though lol

Yeah some people get thrown off by nudges. They can also be used effectively to cancel an opponents attack if you are facehugging.
