Title: cRPG: Deadliest Warrior. Pirates vs Ninjas (renamed at Gmno's request)

The battle should be happening thursday evening. I shall attack the foul ninja's in the open field and send them back to hell (europe) where they (don't) belong!

I'll add in a link to the battle once it is initiated!

The gear for the battle will be very much in theme!
1000 tickets each side!

Pirates:
Armour - Assortment of colourful ragged clothes, hats, boots and gloves... not enough boots or hats for everyone cause pirates don't need shoes or hats.
1H (800 total) - Short Falchions, Grosse Messers, One Handed War Axes and some Side Swords (for the well off pirate)
2H (200 total) - Two handed War Axe and Goedenag.
PA (300 total) - Long Voulge, Iron staff and Long spear.
Shields - 100 Steel Bucklers
Ranged - 300 Throwing Daggers
No horses, No xbows, No bows, no siege gear.

Ninjas:
Armour (1000 each) - Black Lamelllar, Light Strange Gloves, Rus Shoes, Masks with Hood.
1H (200 total) - Wakizashis and Liuyadaos
2H (550 total)- Katanas and No-Dachis
PA (250 total) - Red Tassel Spears, Bamboo Spears, Quarter Staffs and Iron Staffs
Shields - None
Ranged - 150 Snowflakes, 3000 smoke bombs
No horses, No xbows, No bows, no siege gear.

Cowards need not apply (for pirates). I encourage all swashbucklers to sign for me and throw things at those filthy ninjers before closing in and hacking them up with your superior fencing skills! I could also use some support pirates to hide in the back and poke people.

Gmno prolly needs a bunch of 2h heroes.

I don't need heroes, I need friends and fun seekers. No matter how much skill a pirate has it can never measure up against the skill of a ninja.

Edit: Matey I can't even read that speech bubble, -1 for lack of paint skills and being a dumb illiterate pirate.

This is all taking place in Raven land. In the interest of the great mythical beast called "Fun", we are allowing it and giving out free beer horns to every person who show up to the venue before 7 o' clock!

Sake will be provide as well. But in drinking horns. This is in Viking land you know, its sort of required.

A drink for sailors:

The Flip.

1 whole egg
1 goodly measure of sugar
1 even goodlier measure of rum
Ale

Traditional method:

Beat the egg with the sugar and rum. Add the ale and stir gently. Stick a clean poker into the nearest fire and, once it's red hot, withdraw. Doing so in a very sound mug, stir the mixture around with the hot poker to heat it and make it frothy, until it stops hissing and spitting foam. Enjoy.


Folks of lesser distinction can heat the ale in a saucepan, skimming the foam that rises into the egg mixture and whisking it up that way. When the ale is simmering well, add it to the rest of the foamy concoction.

Twas a fun battle. I think most of the pirates had a good time. If we ever do a rematch I might talk gmno into lighter armour or he might talk me into heavier... but RP trumps balance! Thanks to everyone who showed up!

Great battle guys. Lots of fun and pretty close. I think I speak for the community in saying thanks! Great to have battles that don't result in maximum hutt burts sometimes. Nice change to fight people who don't take 10 hits in Strat  too. Thanks again! Perhaps we should all fight to the death with wedding dresses and meat cleavers next :P

get better! I was 1-1 at lvl 23 (till the flag camp shitty ninjas)  still ended up around 22-27  /flex!

I could totally make an army of Matey clones... maybe i could get a roster full of people who can chamber hoplites :P

The plan right now though is to rematch Gmno with Pirates vs Ninjas but maybe tweak things a bit.
