Title: Adnan Oktar: Your Opinion, Turks?
Post by: Kalam on September 21, 2013, 09:47:31 pm
I'm curious to see what people's opinions on Oktar (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adnan_Oktar) are- more specifically on his widely available textbooks and other impacts on education.

He is a dangerous man with certified mental disturbances. Although he is frequently made fun of and seeminly not taken seriously, he keeps dragging poverty-stricken helpless people behind him as followers. I don't know if you ever stumbled upon any examples of his own TV channel's broadcasts. There you will always see him surrounded with strange-looking bizarre women (which, in my opinion, all look like transvestites). They keep praising him and he keeps asking for their praises.

The mediatic ridicule aside, it is worth mentioning that his set of fake anti-evolution proof is sickening. Backed up by unexplained fortune, he keeps publishing his worthless books and delivering them to high school students free of charge.

He is supposedly a Muslim and yet he has recently been pronounced a level 33 mason by the leader of the Italian mason guild. All I know is that this is a dangerous man, as I wrote in the beginning.

I have no idea about this guy only these funny videos.  I think he shouldn't be allowed to broadcasting. Sadly some people takes this guy serious.

Those women do look like they went to a plastic surgery student who experimented on them. It seems absurd, if not outright crazy, that he has enough influence to scare academics and influence Turkish government. Is it true that he does? I guess that's what I'm curious to know, as someone who's never been to Turkey.

His governmental influence, if it even exists, is not any obvious. The current government -a direct extension of the nonsensical Nur movement led by Fethullah Gulen, who currently resides in the USA- has been following a strict line of Islamic bigotry for the past decade and seemingly doesn't approve of this guy's frequent appearances with almost-plastic womanoids.
