Hi all
I hope someone can support or help me.
I buy really good computer 3 weeks ago.
-Windows 7
-4 gb Ram
-Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 - 2600k CPU @3,40 Ghz
-Graphicard: AMD Radeon HD 6800 Series
Most newest Games works really liquid, but when i play Warband, the game jerky without end like a Dia show, even at the lowest settings :o
Ill tried with directx 7 and 9.
Graphic driver is the latest
Any ideas or experience with same problems ?
-
hmm try windowd mode and load textures on demand, also try adjusting the resulotion, not much else I can say.
Well, the video card MIGHT not be supported, but highly unlikely...

I've been unable to run the game on my quadcore in dx9 mode after .220, maybe something changed that makes multithreading a bad deal, try forcing single threading that's an old skool m+b trick to get shit to work, I can still not get mine to play in dx9 mode and I have removed the entire M+B game and reinstalled everything from scratch, updated drivers, etc, virus scan, defrag, clocked my chip down some to see if I was running into instability or something.....
but I can play in dx7 at max everything 1080p and it looks pretty good, but strangely I can still play native and fire + sword in dx9, so I'm with u somewhat in being confused

My mate just joined cRPG and the patch did this to him too.
-
not sure if this would change it, but you could try this low res pack out: http://forum.c-rpg.net/index.php/topic,5335.0.html
also, force single threading usually helps.
-
Hm update graphic drivers?
Works fine on my HD5800 series graphic card. Also try talesworld forums.
-
How many VRAM you got on a HD6800 ?

How many VRAM you got on a HD6800 ?
2795 MB
this is just annoying
-
Did you try the 'load textures on demand' and 'force single threading' settings? And the lighter texture pack?
-
Yes Phaz, i tried everything
With lower resulotion, Force single threading with directx 9 and 7.with loading textures and without, the lighter texture pack ect. ect.
Game work LESS better
i dont understand that but the funny thing is No matter if I one option or the other or Toggle, the performance stay constant by 40% with LOWEST SETTINGS
Thats really less

Freaking hell THERES something wrong :/
hmm, I will think about it...

try to run it in single threading as suggested.
warband engine is older than my brother so... recent videocards with recent drivers aren't the best for that. anyway should work as im using the 11.2 catalysts and work fine.
i have no issues with my [email protected]+HD4870. 120 fps almost everytime, high details, HDR low, filters set on high quality.
and no... low-res pack is only needed for people with old 6000 series geforce, or very low end videocards. warband run at max settings even on a old 7950GT.

Thx for u Support.
i Installed 11.2 catalyst, but was the same as before.
maybe i have to change some settings on catalyst ,which setting u choose?
i have no experience with this ATI card

well i'll upgrade my machine soon with an ATI 6970 i2600k p8p67 deluxe etc...
so i'm newb with the ati 6000 series too.
anyway i don't use the Catalysts Control Center but another software named Ati Tray Tools. is WAY lighter and more detalied thus unofficial.
first suggestion i can think of is in the CONFIGURE panel of the warband launcher.
go in VIDEO section:
Render Method: DX9
use pixel shaders: ON
start windowed: OFF
Force VSync: OFF
Load Textures OnDemand: OFF
Texture detail: 100
Max framerate: 120
Resolution: 1680x1050 <- (depend on your monitor... but with a mid-level 6000 series, max it)
Antialiasing: OFF <- (because i use HDR so can't run together with AA)
Shadow Quality: well i use LOW because in really BIG battles this give me the ability to stay over 90FPS
in the ADVANCED section
Edit mode: OFF
Single Threading: OFF <- (experiment with this)
-------------------------------
tell me if you solved and if not, we'll go in more detailed settings as in game settings, CCC settings or ati tray tool if you know something about video card settings. otherwise stay with CCC as ATT is a tool where you could mess with wrong settings if you're not too confident with videocards.
