That little shiny trail you see following your weapon everywhere is what "show weapons trail" effects. It makes it so that the path of your weapon carries a faded image of the weapon behind it.

I personally think it looks gimmicky and I turned it off a long time ago because it distracted me. I felt like I was watching an anime fight.

I personally think it helps with adjusting to your opponent's speed for chambers. Unfortunately, it's weird for me in that only certain players seem to have it. I wonder sometimes if both players have to have show weapon trails in order for it to be displayed, but that seems unlikely. It's odd.
